Private chef by town on Costa Rica's Pacific coast

Where you stay shapes the evening a little. The dinner is yours either way.

The short version: Chef Eddie Cambronero cooks up and down the southern Pacific coast, from Esterillos down to Ojochal. The town changes the drive, the view, and the local catch, but the custom menu and the all-inclusive service stay the same. Here is what a private chef night looks like in each place, so you can picture it before you book.

Manuel Antonio

The busiest base on this coast, with the biggest villas and the best sunset views. Manuel Antonio dinners tend to be the celebration kind: honeymoons, family reunions, the last night of a trip nobody wants to end. Eddie shops the Quepos fish market that morning and times the courses around the sunset if your villa has the view. See the full private chef in Manuel Antonio page.

Dominical

Eddie's home turf. His own ocean-view kitchen at Casa Eco De Mar sits just up the coast in Portasol, which makes him the closest private chef to the Dominical and Dominicalito villas, with no long drive and no travel surcharge. Surf all day and let dinner come to you, or have the meal at his place instead. More on private chef in Dominical.

Uvita

Big villas and big groups, right by the whale's tail sandbar and Marino Ballena. Because the per-person rate drops as the group grows, Uvita's family-and-friends format is exactly what the all-inclusive pricing was built for. Details on private chef in Uvita.

Ojochal

The culinary village of the south coast, where dinner is already the main event. Eddie fits right in: Thai tom kha folded into pasta, a Mediterranean fish tapenade from the morning's catch, a casado done properly. If your group came for the food, this is your town. See private chef in Ojochal.

Esterillos

The quietest stretch on this list, long empty beaches and very few restaurants, which is exactly why a private chef fits the pace. Nobody drives out and back in the dark; the best meal of the week comes to your beach house. More on private chef in Esterillos.

So which town should you pick?

Honestly, the town matters less than the group and the night you want. A big villa splitting the cost leans Uvita or Manuel Antonio, a honeymoon that wants quiet leans Esterillos or Dominical, a crew that lives for dinner leans Ojochal. Either way Eddie builds the same custom menu around your group. Tell him where you are staying on the contact page and he takes it from there. If you are weighing the cost against eating out, private chef versus restaurant runs the real numbers, and how much a private chef costs breaks down the rates.

Questions about booking by town, answered

Which towns does Eklectic Kitchen cover?

Chef Eddie cooks along the southern Pacific coast: Esterillos, Manuel Antonio and Quepos, Dominical and Dominicalito, Uvita and Bahia Ballena, and Ojochal, plus the vacation villas in between. If your rental sits between two towns, he almost certainly reaches it.

Does the price change depending on the town?

No. Pricing is per person and set by the size of your group, not by location, so a dinner in Uvita costs the same as the same dinner in Ojochal. Only a villa far up a remote mountain road might carry a small travel note, agreed before you book.

How far ahead should I book in each town?

As soon as your dates are set, especially from December through April when the whole coast fills up. Manuel Antonio books fastest. Once the date is held, the menu is settled at least 48 hours ahead so Eddie can shop fresh.

Can Eddie cook if our trip moves between towns?

Yes. He regularly cooks for groups staying in more than one spot across a single trip. Book each night you want him, and he brings the full setup to each villa.

What if our villa is between towns, or somewhere not listed?

Ask anyway. Eddie serves the whole stretch from Esterillos down to Ojochal, including Portasol, Hatillo, and the hills in between, and the answer is usually yes.
