Kitchen Setup Checklist

The stove and oven

The most common surprise at a rental. A quick photo of the stovetop and oven, sent to Eddie, answers most of these at once.

• The stovetop is gas (not only electric or induction)
• I know how many burners it has
• All the burners light and heat properly
• There is a working oven
• The oven reaches and holds temperature

Prep and storage

• There is open counter space to prep on
• There is refrigerator space for ingredients
• There is a working range hood or good ventilation
• Basic pots and pans are available (or Eddie should bring his)

Serving the table

• I know the final guest count
• There are enough plates, glasses, and cutlery for the group
• I know whether we are dining indoors, outdoors, or both

Getting there

• Eddie has the villa or rental name and full address
• Eddie has gate codes and parking instructions
• Someone will be on site at arrival time
• Clean drinking water is available

One last thing

• Any allergies or dietary needs have been shared
• Menu choices are in at least 48 hours before the dinner
